Facebook and Instagram back up after outage
UPDATE: April 8, 2021, 7:27 p.m. EDT Just under two hours after initial reports of outages, Facebook shared that it restored service.
And we’re back! Earlier today, a configuration change caused Facebook services to be unavailable to some people. Since then, we have quickly investigated and resolved the issue.

Facebook and Instagram websites, and the company's internal sites, appear to have gone down for some people since around 2:30 p.m. PT Thursday, according to social media and DownDetector reports. It's the second outage in just the last three weeks. Read more...
