How to Quickly Make a Venn Diagram in PowerPoint
Note: Watch this short tutorial screencast or follow the quick steps below, that complement this video to learn how to make a Venn diagram in PowerPoint.
1. Add a Venn Diagram in PowerPoint
To get started let's come over to the Insert > SmartArt.
Here on the left side, let's go ahead and choose Relationship. Now, find this Basic Venn option, and let's choose it and insert it.
2. Adjust & Label the PowerPoint Venn Diagram
What I like to do is go ahead and make it nice and large so that there's plenty of room for our content. I'll grab the corner and drag it out to increase the size of the diagram, then I'll go ahead and add a couple of points here on either side to indicate items that don't overlap, or that my two categories don't have in common.
You can add a few bullet points to each for the items you need.
3. Finish the Venn Diagram
.Now, we need to add points to the center to see what's in common. To do that, you actually need to come to the Insert > Text Box.
Type your label and then just drag and drop it over the middle of the diagram, the overlapping section of the Venn Diagram. You can customize this text style as needed as well.
