VW's ID Space Vizzion electric concept car doesn't have door handles

The Volkswagen ID Space Vizzion electric concept car can go up to 300 miles on a single charge, boasts an impressive aerodynamic build, and is made with recycled materials — but don't look for something as basic as a door handle on the compact SUV-sized vehicle.

The Space Vizzion is the seventh ID concept car showing what VW can do with an electric fleet as it adds more all-electric vehicles to its line-up. VW plans to add up to 20 electric vehicles on its battery platform (known as MEB, or "modular electric drive matrix") by 2025. A production-ready version of the car is expected in the U.S. by 2022. The original Vizzion concept car was first shown in 2018 as a sleek, low-riding, self-driving sedan, and the latest concept station wagon/super small SUV was revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show Tuesday night.
