Animations in Keynote are easy to apply and change, and it's easy to customize template that already have animations built into them in Keynote. How to Customize Animated Keynote Templates
Note: Watch this short tutorial screencast or follow the quick steps below, that complement this video.
1. Open Your Animated Keynote Template
Let's customize an animation in the Anim8 template, which really has an impressive set of animations built into it.
Now that I've got it downloaded and opened up in Keynote, let's look at how to customize it.
2. Open the Transitions Panel
On this slide, as I play the preview, you'll notice that the names come in on the slide in stages. But I'd rather them all animate on at the same time for simplicity.
You control Keynote animations by clicking on Animate, and then clicking on Build Order.
No matter what you want to change, this Build Order menu is where you can control it.
3. Resequence Animations
Drag and resequence or change the animations on this panel. For this example, let's Shift + Click to select them all, then change this to With Previous Build to animate them all together at the same time.
Finishing Up!
Let's also change the Delay time to 0 here so that there's no lag.
Now let's click Preview and you can see they all animate in together.
Customizing your Keynote animations is quick and easy to do, when you know how.
