About 90% of Note7 users aren't abandoning them for iPhones, says Samsung

Recall, explosions, overheating, and battery drain issues be damned. People still love their Samsung Galaxy Note7 phones.

About 90 percent of Note7 users affected by the phone's global recall are sticking with the phones as opposed to jumping ship for another phone made by Samsung or from a competitor, according to the company.

Samsung also released two promising stats on the progress of its recall and replacement program. 

Over 60 percent of recalled Note7 phones sold in the U.S. and South Korea have been exchanged. Last week, Samsung Electronics America announced over 50 percent of faulty 1 million Note7 phones sold in the U.S. had been exchanged following the wider availability of replacement devices that started arriving last Wednesday.
