iOS 10 is wreaking havoc on some iPhones

iOS 10 has finally arrived, but you might want to hold off on updating.

As promised at its iPhone 7 event on Sept. 7, Apple released iOS 10 this Tuesday at 1 p.m. ET. But soon after, many users tweeted complaints that the update put their phones into recovery mode, which meant they had to wipe their device's memory, reinstall iOS 9.3.5 and then try upgrading to iOS 10 again.

While Apple told Mashable the issue is already resolved, it might be safest to wait until others have confirmed the coast is clear.

"We experienced a brief issue with the software update process, affecting a small number of users during the first hour of availability," an Apple spokesperson said. "The problem was quickly resolved and we apologize to those customers. Anyone who was affected should connect to iTunes to complete the update or contact AppleCare for help." Read more...
