Apple's 2016 MacBook is a beautiful compromise

A little over a year ago, Apple released the wholly redesigned MacBook. It had a great screen and was impossibly thin and featherlight. And it came in gold.

Now in 2016, the new MacBook is getting its first spec bump. And its first new color: Rose gold. That’s right, we finally have a pink MacBook.

On the outside, the new MacBook is exactly the same as last year’s model. In fact, with the exception of a new processor and faster SSD, everything about the new machine is the same as what we saw last year.
