Samsung Galaxy S7 teardown reveals tiny heat pipe, gobs of glue

You've seen plenty of photos of Samsung's new Galaxy S7 smartphone from the outside. Now it's time to see how it looks from the inside, courtesy of iFixit's latest teardown. 

The S7's guts, when compared to those of the S6, are especially interesting for several reasons: The phone is waterproof, it has a larger battery, and it has a liquid-filled tube keeping it cool, according to Samsung

The waterproof properties of the phone seem to have been achieved with a lot of rubber seals and a new type of glue which holds both the back and the front glass of the phone together, and is apparently pretty hard to remove without special tools. Read more...
