Withings' $69 fitness tracker can (almost) compete with the big guys

LAS VEGAS — Fitness tracking is nothing new, but more companies are rolling out entry-level products this week at CES in an effort to convert the uninitiated. Cheap is in, and the options are getting smarter.

Case in point: Health monitoring veteran Withings introduced a $69 activity tracker called the Withings Go, a device filled with several features you’d typically find on higher-end models.

While it's slightly more pricey than some of its closest competitors — such as the Jawbone Move ($49.99), Fitbug Orb ($49.95) and Fitbit Zip ($59.95) — the Go has an always-on e-ink screen.
