TuneIn's new premium tier makes radio more like streaming music
When you think of a premium music streaming services, terrestrial radio stations likely aren't the first thing to come to mind. Radio app TuneIn is hoping to change that
The service, which hosts thousands of live radio streams and news broadcasts, is rolling out a new subscription service Tuesday that takes the commercials out of radio.
The $7.99 per month TuneIn Premium includes access to 600 radio stations without commercials, along with a fairly impressive list of other content, including Major League Baseball broadcasts and unlimited access to more than 40,000 audiobooks from publishers like Random House and Harper Collins.
