Astronomers Discover the 'Godzilla of Earths'

Astronomers have discovered a new class of planet, an object with a hard surface similar to the surface of Earth but much bigger

The Kepler-10c, as this planet is called, is about 560 light-years from Earth, where it orbits its star every 45 days

This gigantic planet weighs in at 17 times that of Earth, with a diameter 2.3 times larger than our planet, according to astronomers from the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. One researcher went as far as to call it “the Godzilla of Earths.”
