BuzzFeed Teams Up With Ex-Gawker Traffic Guru at Whisper

BuzzFeed has reached a content-sharing agreement with Whisper, an anonymous social network where former Gawker traffic guru Neetzan Zimmerman is now editor-in-chief.

Zimmerman and another Whisper employee will work with BuzzFeed writers to identify content that fits with certain themes and help produce posts

Zimmerman, who joined Whisper in January, downplayed initial reports that a group of BuzzFeedwriters would be dedicated to search Whisper for stories.

"At BuzzFeed, the people will be working ad hoc. When something occurs to them, they'll reach out to the special projects manager, and the special projects manager works with me on creating materials for BuzzFeed aligning with their needs and so forth," Zimmerman told Mashable. Read more...
