The clock can be our best friend (at 5:30 p.m. on Friday) or our worst enemy (Monday morning's alarm). Regardless, it's no secret that clocks rule our lives in some capacity, and life is a perennial battle to try to do more in less time.

The concept of time is a common theme in photography, from stop-motion shots to images of iconic clocks around the world.
