'Delivery Dudes' Web Series Serves Up Pizza With a Side of Hilarity

Filming a pilot no longer requires a full-size production crew and major network — now, all you need is a camera and some dedicated friends

That's exactly what Chicago-based comedian Joe Avella did with Delivery Dudes. The 22-minute pilot follows the lives of pizzeria employees and their delivery troubles, including a robbery at gunpoint, a pizza thief and a short-lived hip hop career

"I needed something that was easy to shoot and didn’t cost money," Avella told Mashable. "I had available to me: My car, my friends and their apartments. Pizza delivery kind of popped up.
