Nicole Shariat Farb's love of crafting long predates her tenure at Goldman Sachs, where she worked from mid-2009 to early 2013 in the bank's tech investment banking division, helping with Facebook's IPO and gaining exposure to early-stage startups like Dropbox and Polyvore. In recent years, however, she has struggled to execute the crafting tutorials she has found on blogs and on sites like Pinterest, which is why she's gone on to found an online DIY platform of her own.
