Vancouver's up-and-coming Growlab accelerator is hosting its demo day for its spring 2012 cohort today. The program was founded in 2011 andfocuses on consumer internet, social gaming, mobile and cloud services. Growlab currently runs two four-month programs per year and funds up to five companies with $25,000 per session. Companies that are accepted into the program also have a chance of getting $150,000 in follow-up funding from Growlab and BDC Venture Capital, one of Canada's larger VC firms.
