New York Police Subpoena Twitter to Identify Potential Aurora Shooting Copycat

The New York Police Department subpoenaed Twitter Tuesday to identify a user who threatened to "shoot up" a Broadway theater in an Aurora-style attack.

The user, who tweets under the now-defunct handle @ObamasMistress and calls herself "Anonymous Celebrity," referenced the shooting in this tweet:

@shannamartella like i said you on my hit list too. This shit ain’t no joke yo I’m serious people are gonna die just like in aurora— Anonymous Celebrity (@obamasmistress) August 2, 2012

Last month, a gunman opened fire during a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises in an Aurora, Colo. movie theater. The attack killed 12 and injured 59.
