The iPhone 13 has an Apple Music bug, but there's a fix

Apple's new crop of products have an annoying bug that may prevent users from accessing their Apple Music catalog or settings, as well as use Sync Library on their new device.

According to Apple, which put up a support document to address the issue, the affected devices are iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, as well as the new, 9th gen iPad and the 6th gen iPad mini. The issue will happen when a user tries to restore their new device from a backup — a fairly common practice when you purchase a new phone or tablet.

To fix the issue, users will have to update their new iPhone or iPad by going to Settings - General, tapping Software Update, and then tapping Install Now.

MacRumors points out that owners of new iPhones will immediately get an update described as a security fix, but Apple's description doesn't specifically mention the Apple Music issue.

The iPhone 13 launch day is today, Sept. 24, in the U.S., so not many people have experienced this issue. Kudos to Apple for fixing it fast, though it's not great when the first thing you need to do on your new device is update to fix a bug.
