1. Switch to the Insert Tab
The first thing that you'll want to do is switch over to the Insert tab here on the PowerPoint ribbon.
2. Draw a Line or Shape
Now on the Shapes drop-down you'll see a great variety of lines and shapes that you can add into your slide. These shapes are really easy to draw on your chart. Let's start with a line and arrow. I'll click and draw it on to the slide to bring some emphasis to a part of my slide.
3. Modify a Line or Shape
You can also see that with a shape selected you can tweak some of the stylistic aspects like the color of it or even the thickness from the options up here. All of these are available on the Format tab and I'm adjusting them as you can see me doing here.
4. Reposition a Line or Shape & Finish Up
You can always click and drag to reposition that shape or even resize it by grabbing the handles on the edge of it. Either way it's easy to use any of these custom shapes in PowerPoint to add a bit of flair to a slide.
