Computers made from e-waste are helping kids use the internet for first time

Making computers out of e-waste and casing them in jerrycans is allowing kids their first chance to go online. The computers were built by an association in Chad, called Wenaklabs, in association with UNICEF.

Most of us cannot imagine a life disconnected from the internet, but there are 346 million young people who have no access at all. A new UNICEF report examines how digital technology is affecting children's lives, as well as their opportunity. Read more...
