Comedian Jim Gaffigan's chatbot is here and it demands snacks

Chatbots for news, sports updates, and even government resources keep popping up as AI-powered conversations become all the rage, and now comedian Jim Gaffigan says he has the first comedy chatbot experience. You know, so you can laugh with a robot pretending to be a celebrity.

Aptly named JimBot, Gaffigan's chatbot is available starting Wednesday through Facebook Messenger.

I chatted with JimBot, who made self-deprecating jokes and talked about — what else? — food and snacks. 

It's not the most titillating conversation, with only a few pre-made options to choose from, but JimBot, developed by humorbot maker and AI start-up BOT1, has some funny responses with GIFs, video responses featuring Gaffigan, and plenty of snark.
