The world's largest flash drive holds 2 terabytes of data
Have a ton of digital data you need stow away in your pocket? You're in luck — about two full terabytes worth of it, in fact.
Fresh off the CES news line comes word of Kingston Digital's latest offering, a massive (at least storage-wise) USB flash drive, the DataTraveler Ultimate Generation Terabyte (GT). With up to 2 TB of storage, Kingston claims it's the highest capacity USB flash drive in the world.
In the words of my colleague Damon Beres, "that's a big honkin' flash drive."
Back in 2013, Kingston was the first to release a 1 TB flash drive. The new 2 TB version comes outfitted with a zinc-alloy metal casing for "shock resistance" and a USB 3.1 adapter (sorry, MacBook Pro users). Read more...
