Self-driving car startup Nutonomy will start testing driverless cars in Boston

Fresh from kicking off driverless trials in Singapore, Nutonomy is headed home to Boston to test its autonomous vehicles there.

The company has already obtained permission, and will run its cars at an unspecified date in the Raymond L. Flynn Marine Park industrial area, reports Recode.

The self-driving car startup was an MIT spinout, and for the past six months has been at a tech business park in Singapore trying to get its cars roadworthy.

However, a trial started in late-September that included members of the public, was abruptly cut short after just a month, when one of its driverless cars collided with a lorry while attempting to change lanes. Read more...
