Police get a BMW i8 because they are too fast and too furious, apparently

It's Fast and the Furious meets Police Academy around here. 

While being inside a police car isn't something a sane person would look forward to, they just might look forward to hopping in this bad boy. 

A BMW i8 sports car, in full police livery, has just been added to the New South Wales Police Force fleet in Australia. What a bunch of show offs.

The petrol-electric hybrid engine boasts 357 horsepower (266 kilowatts) and can go from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a delightfully brisk 4.4 seconds.
