Daimler and BMW reportedly walk away from Apple Car development talks

The Apple Car might be under development in Germany. But Daimler and BMW won't be helping out.

German business publication Handelsblatt reported on Wednesday that Mercedes-Benz parent company Daimler and BMW terminated talks with Apple surrounding the development of the so-called "iCar."

According to unnamed industry sources, the talks with BMW fell apart last year. However, the Daimler discussions dissolved more recently.

Based out of an office in Berlin, Apple is reportedly seeking a German technology and manufacturing partner to help it with the intricacies of car production. Read more...
