Microsoft Edge finally gets support for extensions

Users of Microsoft Edge, the company's replacement for Internet Explorer and the default browser in Windows 10, are getting their first taste of extensions, albeit only in beta.  

Build 14291 of Windows 10, released Thursday and available to users who participate in Microsoft's Windows Insider Program, now comes with support for extensions.

To try out the new feature, click on "More" in the top right corner of Edge and then on "Extensions" to open the Extensions pane. 

Once the browser is released to the public (later this year, according to Microsoft), the extensions will be available through the Windows Store; right now, you need to install them manually.
