Apple Music will stream at the Met's new fashion technology exhibition

NEW YORK – With Apple sponsoring this year’s Met Gala, it was only expected that the Cupertino-based company would be in charge of the music as well. On Monday’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s press presentation, with everyone from Apple's reps (excluding Jony Ive) to Vogue's Anna Wintour in attendance, it was revealed that Apple Music would be spearheading the acoustic experience of the Met’s upcoming exhibition, “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.”

The album that will be streaming throughout? Brian Eno’s Music for Airports.

Huh.  

“It was the first album created under the label of 'ambient music,' and, coincidentally, was one of the first albums featured on Apple’s Beats 1 Radio,” the exhibition’s curator in charge of The Costume Institute (yes, that’s a real title), Andrew Bolton, explained. Read more...
