New York bans hoverboards on trains and buses over fire safety concerns

Add the New York City public transportation system to the growing list of facilities that have instituted a ban on hoverboards. New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) announced on Wednesday that it is banning the possession of hoverboards on trains and buses

The important thing to note here is that the ban doesn't simply refer to "riding" hoverboards on MTA facilities (as some might expect).
