Google slashes minimum app prices to way below $0.99 in 17 countries

Google has significantly reduced the minimum app prices in 17 countries to better reflect the differences in purchasing power around the world

Until now, the minimum app price globally (save for India, where Google piloted lower prices earlier this year) was somewhere around $0.99 (in some markets, they were lower than that, but never below 50 cents). Now, developers in countries including Brazil, Indonesia, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Ukraine can offer their apps, as well as in-app products, at a much lower price
