Facebook may soon let you search individual profile pages (Updated)
Update: Friday, 12:33 p.m. ET: A Facebook spokesperson the profile search is part of a pilot feature:
"We’re piloting a way to search for people’s posts from within their Profiles. You can only search for posts that you can already see on their Timelines."
This is a small pilot in US English on iPhone and desktop—we don’t have anything to share about plans for further rollout. We’ve heard feedback that people want an easier way to search for a specific person’s posts instead of scrolling through Timeline. People who are part of this pilot will see a new search box/option within people’s Profiles. You can only search for posts you can already see by scrolling through somebody’s Timeline. As always, you can only see things that have been shared with you. You control who can see your posts on Facebook and it’s easy to change the audience of your past posts any time.
