Apple starts hiring for its upcoming Singapore store

SINGAPORE — Calling potential Apple Genuises in the country, the mothership is hiring.

Apple has started listing jobs on its site for its upcoming Singapore store.

The 14 listings, put up Friday, are for roles such as "business manager", "store leader", "expert" and "creative". Most of them appear to emphasise English-language skills, but being multilingual is a plus for store managers, to cater to the other languages spoken here.

The Singapore store, slated to open in 2016, will be Singapore's first official Apple store. Right now, Apple's only direct presence in the country is through online sales, and brick-and-mortar sales are done through reseller stores. Read more...
