The best news about your iPhone today has nothing to do with iOS 9

Wednesday’s Apple iOS 9 software update brings a host of new and exciting features like a supercharged Siri and public-transit directions in Maps, but there’s another less-heralded Apple update arriving today that may have a more immediate impact on your lives. It’s also one you probably missed when Apple announced it last week.

It was just one slide among dozens show during Apple’s two-hour-long iPhone 6s event in San Francisco on Sept. 9. It came and went so quickly and with so little fanfare that I almost didn’t capture it.
