The context surrounding the comment was Samsung's launch of the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+, a pair of devices that are more or less just larger versions of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge released earlier this year — which, while critically acclaimed, failed to provide Samsung with the much-needed breakout quarter in its quest to recapture lost market share.
