Samsung's new monitor will wirelessly charge your smartphone

Consumer electronics makers have tried for years to make computer monitors more attractive by adding in things which few folks cared about, such as speakers. But a new monitor from Samsung has an added feature which we wouldn't mind seeing in more monitors from now on — integrated wireless charging for mobile devices

If your mobile device supports Qi wireless charging — as Samsung's Galaxy S6, Google's Nexus 6 or LG's G3 do — you can simply place it on the monitor's stand, and it will be automatically charged
