Microsoft drops the Xbox Music name for Groove, and brings easier access with it

Microsoft's music streaming service, Xbox Music, has a new name: Groove.

The company announced the rebranding of its music streaming service on Monday in an official Windows blog post by Brandon LeBlanc, a senior marketing communications manager.

"Groove describes what people feel and do with music, and is more intuitive for our Windows 10 customers on what they'll find with the app," LeBlanc wrote.

Existing Xbox Music app users won't have to do anything. Service will continue uninterrupted and subscription fees will remain the same: $9.99 for a month or $99.99 for a year to access over 40 million songs. Read more...
