ZTE's Android projector is a cool toy that's just too dim and pricey

Portable "pico projectors" were supposed to be the future. For years, companies proclaimed: Now you can project a really big screen on any surface with a device that fits in your pocket! At one point, companies like Samsung even built pico projectors into smartphones.

Smartphones, tablets and laptops with big, high-resolution screens put the kibosh on the pico projector train. The problems that plague portable projectors are many: They're dim, low-resolution and have terrible battery life

Although ZTE's Spro 2 portable projector is brighter, outputs in 720p HD and has a bigger battery than most pico projectors, its really cool factor is its ability to display content directly from Android apps and the Internet. Read more...
