Hackers briefly take over Tesla Twitter account, offer fake free car

The most talked about electric vehicle in the tech world, Tesla Motors, suffered a hack targeting its Twitter account Saturday. The company's CEO, Elon Musk, was also a victim

Shortly after 4:30 p.m. ET, Tesla's Twitter account was taken over by unknown parties, with the message, "This twitter is now ran by @chf060 and @rootworx," and the Tesla name replaced by "#RIPPRGANG."
