Gus Kenworthy Refuses to Leave Sochi Without Rescued Puppies

Who let the dogs out? Not Russia, apparently. (Sorry for that.)

Olympic athlete Gus Kenworthy brought us near to tears last week when he rescued a litter of stray puppies from a mountain village near Sochi. He began making arrangements to bring the five dogs safely back to the United States and get them vaccinations

The slopestyle skiier and silver medalist planned to leave Sochi with dogs in tow on Monday. But Kenworthy postponed his trip due to delayed paperwork for his canine travel pals, the Associated Press reports

A U.S. skiing official confirmed that Kenworthy's plans changed because of the dogs. Read more...
