Bill Gates: Don't Call Me a College Dropout

Bill Gates has earned many titles over the years — world's richest man, tech visionary and leading philanthropist — but there's one title he seems to question: college dropout.

Gates, who attended Harvard for three years, is frequently mentioned alongside other notable tech executives like Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg who dropped out of school and went on to become hugely successful.

"It is strange to call me a college drop out in all but the most literal sense. I went for three years and took enough courses to graduate," Gates said during a Reddit AMA on Monday, in response to a question about the impact of higher education on his success.
