Hyperlocal Weather App Dark Sky Gets 24-Hour and 7-Day Forecasts

Dark Sky, the Kickstarter-funded weather app focusing on hyperlocal predictions, is getting a major update.

Forecast, the independent weather service that powers Dark Sky, unveiled the completely redesigned iOS app Monday

The update adds extended forecasts and interactive weather maps to its up-to-the-minute breakdowns of the weather around you.

"Completely rewritten from scratch, it sets aside the limitations of the web to become the weather app we’ve always wanted — and always wanted to build," wrote Adam Grossman, one of the creators of Dark Sky, in a blog post announcing the changes.
