Google Acquires Deepmind and Other News You Need to Know
Welcome to this morning's edition of "First To Know," a series in which we keep you in the know on what's happening in the digital world.
Today, we're looking at three particularly interesting storiesWikipedia is adding a new bit of information to its biography pages — voice. Through a project called Wikipedia voice intro project, or WikiVIP, one Wikipedia editor is asking notable individuals (such as actors and scientists) to record their voice so readers can hear what they sound like and how to pronounce their name. Deepmind, which describes itself as a “cutting edge artificial intelligence company,” has been acquired by Google.
