Amazon to Blast Black Friday Deals Every 10 Minutes

Amazon plans to start its Black Friday push early this year, blasting deals every 10 minutes on its site starting on Sunday.

The company's Black Friday deals, which will run online and on its shopping app, are starting a day earlier than last year. The deals will include electronics, toys, books, movies and tools, among other categories.

Among the deals being offered are a Vizio 55-inch smart HDTV for $479.99 (that model is now selling for $775.98), a Google Chromecast for $29.99 (now $35) and 50% off SpongeBob toys.

Amazon opened its Black Friday Store on Nov. 1. The retailer had previously done so three weeks later, but moved the push back in 2012. The retailer isn't alone in starting things early this year: Walmart is planning to start its Black Friday deals on on Nov. 22. Read more...
