T-Mobile Announces Free Data Roaming And Texts in 100 Countries
T-Mobile announced Wednesday that its Simple Choice customers can get free data and text messages when traveling in more than 100 countries, continuing its mission to disrupt the U.S. wireless industry
The "un-carrier" will be giving free data roaming and texts to all of its Simple Choice individual and business customers beginning Oct. 31. For users who want to make phone calls overseas, calls will be a flat rate of $0.20 per minute to any country on the list, including Canada, Mexico, China, France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom.
T-Mobile announced its new international plans at an event in New York City. Company CEO John Legere also revealed that T-Mobile has signed a multi-year partnership with Shakira.
