More than 7 million tweets about iOS 7 were sent in the 24 hours before and after the launch of the OS. That's according to Crimson Hexagon, a social media analysis firm. The precise number: 7,364,005

The volume of iOS 7 tweets peaked at 8pm ET Wednesday night. In other words, once both east and west coast users had clocked off work, they had time to update the world on the progress of their updates
