Japanese fishing boat swept to Okinawa in 2011 tsunami now returned toowner
A fishing boat swept away by the 2011 tsunami in Japan has been returned to its owner, two years later. Mainichi reports that the 5.6-meter-long craft was spotted off the coast of the Senkaku Islands in Okinawa in June, 2013, then disappeared "due to weather conditions." The boat was then seen again in the waters off Sakai, Fukui Prefecture, on Aug.     |
