Finnish Company Develops Facial Recognition Payment System

Even if you find yourself in Helsinki with no phone or wallet, that may not stop you from shopping.

Finnish company Uniqul has patented and tested out a new payment system that lets you pay your bills with your face. When it's time to pay up at a gas station or mall, don't pull out your credit card; instead, look into a camera, and wait until it recognizes you. After that, it pulls up your information, you tap okay and the payment is complete

The catch, of course, is that Uniqul has to store your credit-card information. According to Fast Company, however, Uniqul says the data is protected by “military grade” encryption.
