Security Researcher Takes Responsibility for Apple Hack

A security researcher has claimed responsibility for the breach of Apple's developer portal.

The researcher, who goes by the Twitter handle ibrahim BALİÇ, released a YouTube video claiming responsibility for the security breach, which he says took place while researching Apple.

According to BALİÇ, on July 19, he found 13 security-related bugs within Apple's developer center and filed those bug reports with Apple. Within four hours of the final bug report, Apple took its developer center offline.

In a comment on TechCrunch, reproduced below, BALİÇ claims he was able to get the names and email addresses of 100,000 users. He says he has no intention of keeping the data and will remove it.
