Elon Musk: Hyperloop High-Speed Transport Design Coming Soon

Elon Musk is trying to conquer space travel. He's spearheading a new class of electric vehicles. And now the entrepreneur is planning his next venture: a high-speed transportation system that some say could rival planes, trains and automobiles.

Musk — a co-founder of PayPal — tweeted Monday that the alpha design for his "Hyperloop" system will be published by Aug. 12. The Hyperloop system Musk is working on is "a solar-powered inter-city passenger transport system," according to Bloomberg. Musk is now seeking feedback about the Hyperloop design:
