Google Babble: The One (Rumored) Chat Service to Rule Them All

Google will soon unify all its disparate chat services under a single banner called Babble, a new report says. The new service will be integrated throughout all of Google's communication products, most of which have their own specific features and abilities, which are sometimes incompatible with each other.

According to Geek.com's "multiple sources," Google will build Babble into everything from Google+ to Gmail. You'll be able to share photos in live chats as well as start an Google+ Hangout with anyone in your contacts. Users will see the same type of chat window — with the same features — no matter what Google product they're using.
