Elon Musk: Bad New York Times Review Cost Tesla $100M


Just when we thought Elon Musk had ended his fight with The New York Times, he has come out swinging again.

The Tesla founder and CEO told Bloomberg TV over the weekend that the company had "a few hundred" cancelled orders as a result of a bad review of the Tesla Model S in the Times earlier this month. In fact, Musk speculates that the critical article cost Tesla tens of millions of dollars in lost orders and shaved off as much as $100 million from the company's market valuation.
